The Responsibility of one parent to protect children from psychological violence by the other parent An ethical reflection attempt

The thesis applies responsibility as a relational concept to the area of psychological forms of domestic violence against children. It focuses in particular on issues related to the moral responsibility for their protection by a parent who is not the perpetrator of violence, with an overlap in the legal solution of the outlined issue and in helping to change family functioning by social work. The topic of the thesis is set in the context of the family as the first community a person encounters and in which it is realized as a relational being, while the family is understood as part of the transgenerational system. The aim of the thesis is to find the concept of responsibility that is meaningfully applicable to the protection of children in the family from violent behaviour, with regard to the social context of the Western family and the time dimension.

An Understanding of Transgenerational Transmission in a Family from a Perspective of Middle-Aged Individuals

This rigorous thesis focusses on transgenerational transmission and the repeated themes of family memory from the perspective of middle-aged individuals. It is based on the master's thesis called Posttraumatic stress and growth in holocaust survivors and their families. Firstly, the theoretical part defines the terms 'stress', 'trauma' and 'posttraumatic growth'. Afterwards, attention is brought to the historical perspective on traumatic events of the 20th century which deeply affected the lives of respondents (the Second World War, the period of communism) and the topic of transgenerational transmission in the family narrative. The empirical component of the thesis is based on quantitative and qualitative research. The first part is dedicated to the mapping of specific aspects of posttraumatic stress and growth in Holocaust survivors and their offspring (N = 150, data collected by CEITEC). In accordance with other studies, the thesis concludes that Holocaust survivors and their offspring have higher levels of posttraumatic stress and growth and that linear dependence exists between these two phenomena. Anorexia of a child and its impact on the family

This bachelor thesis concerns a situation of a family in which appeared mental illness anorexia. The work is divided into two main parts. The first part describes theoretical concepts of family psychology the proper functioning of family, characteristics of family system, social pathology phenomena. It also describes anorexia, its causes and symptoms. This part focuses on families with a disabled child, for comparison, whether the impact on the family are the same or different. The second part, through research, determines whether anorexia has a bad impact on the family, relationships and family functioning.

The risky behavior of adolescent development and the possibility of secondary prevention in Klatovském region

Bachelor´s work deals with the risk behaviour of adolescent development taking into account the possibility of secondary prevention of this behavior on Klatovy region. In the theoretical part of the works is first described the whole period of adolescence. Following the developmental characteristics of adolescence with additional chapters deal with risk behaviour and its prevention, in particular the prevention of secondary. Part of the Bachelor´s work is a research probe, whose main objective is to map the institutions and experts, national and non-State in Klatovy region, on which the school may contact or refer their students and their legal counsel for assistance i addressing risk behavior. Research the probe is implemented in the form of a written inquiry at the secondary schools in the Klatovy region. Presentation of the results of the subsequent discussion are listed in the practical part of work.
